In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that Maven Movement operates on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina Nation, the Îethka Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney), the Otipemisiwak Métis Government (Districts 5 and 6), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

Maven Movement strives to ensure that all experiences are welcoming and inclusive of all races, genders, and sexualities, and that our spaces feel safe and supportive for both dancers and team members.

Maven upholds a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, discrimination, harassment, and violence, in alignment with the Alberta Human Rights Act.

Maven Movement is a member of the Skipping Stone Trans Affirming Network.

Illness or Emergency: If you are unable to attend a class due to illness or an emergency, a class credit will be issued and will remain valid for one calendar year from the original registration date.

Non-Refundable Fees: All merchandise and registration fees for dance classes, performance programs, and workshops are non-refundable.

Early Cancellations: For non-performance-based classes, cancellations made more than two hours before the class start time will receive a class credit issued through Momence.

Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within two hours of the class start time will forfeit the registration fee and no class credit will be issued.

Performance Programs: A $150 deposit is required to reserve your place in a performance program. The remaining balance will be invoiced in two equal monthly payments, beginning one month from your registration date. Registration fees, including the deposit, any payment plan installments, and theatre fees, are non-refundable and are not eligible for credit. Participants who withdraw from a performance program remain responsible for the full program fee, regardless of whether they selected a payment plan.

Credits and Transfers: Any credits issued by Maven Movement are non-transferable and must be used by the person they were originally issued to. Registrations for classes, workshops, performance opportunities, and programs cannot be transferred to another person.

Cancellations by Maven Movement: If Maven Movement cancels a class, a class credit will be issued to all registered participants. If Maven Movement cancels a performance program before it begins, all payments made will be refunded. If a special guest workshop is cancelled by Maven Movement or the visiting guest, participants will receive a full refund.

Special Guest Workshops: Special guest workshops are non-refundable and are not eligible for credit unless the workshop is cancelled by the visiting guest.
